Abstract Testing (10/1-12)

For staff with Confex access, please take this opportunity to test abstract submission and view reports with sample abstracts for the 2019 AC. The links for guidelines and FAQs are not updated yet. 

After you access Confex, select "Create and New Abstract" from your committee control panel. Then, you will need to click on "Step 1 Committee & Topic" to start the abstract submission process. This is only internal testing at this point as the live site is not ready yet.  

Please complete tests and provide feedback to me no later than COB on Friday, October 12. I will delete all the test submissions after the deadline.

  1.   A check box is needed before submitting the abstract stating that  All authors/presenters are required to pay registration fees even if its for one day.
  2. add note that the title word count is not include in the Abstract word count.  * I know its in the guidelines but I get that question often. 
  3. Guidelines check box:  You can tick the box  off regardless if you  click the link.   Put the check box in the guidelines at each section to tick off (and give them a quiz before moving on. LOL!! ) before moving on to the next question.

  1. If we don't accommodate software demonstrations anymore, is there a need for the software demo Abstract Consideration? 
  2. Is it possible to add the option to submit another abstract directly from the abstract confirmation page, similar to the new addition in the topic submission process?
  3. For roundtable submission, the Presidential Priorities Choice Award section is not updated.
