2022-2023 CSTE Mentorship Program

2023 Jeffrey P. Davis Student Scholarship Now Open!

The CSTE Foundation (CSTEF) is pleased to announce the application for the 2023 Jeffrey P. Davis Student Scholarship is now open. Created in honor of longtime Wisconsin State Epidemiologist and CSTE Past President Jeff Davis, the scholarship provides funding for registration, lodging and airfare for the 2023 CSTE Annual Conference, which will take place June 25-29, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Scholarship recipients will be guided by CSTE fellows and staff, with opportunities to network with leaders in applied epidemiology and explore the many conference sessions and events.

The CSTE Annual Conference connects more than 2,500 public health epidemiologists from across the country and will include workshops, plenary sessions with leaders in the field of public health, oral breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, and poster presentations. Conference attendees meet and share their expertise in surveillance and epidemiology, as well as best practices in a broad range of areas, including informatics, infectious diseases, substance use, immunizations, chronic disease, injury control, maternal and child health, and more. CSTE members also vote on position statements, which instigate nationwide policy change and create new initiatives. We are currently planning for all conference sessions to be held in-person; however, we will continue to monitor circumstances and public health recommendations for group gatherings.

Interested students should apply online by March 14, 2023. More information is available at www.cstefoundation.org.

The Jeffrey P. Davis Student Scholarship is made possible via generous donations to the CSTE Foundation. All donations are considered tax-deductible contributions to the CSTE Foundation, which is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The most up-to-date information regarding the conference can be found at www.csteconference.org. For more information or questions about the scholarship, please contact Amanda Masters, Deputy Director of Governance, Strategy and Support at amasters@cste.org or 770-458-3811.
