Webinar Opportunity - Long COVID

I'm writing to let people know about a great opportunity to participate in a series of informative presentations on how health departments can address the Long COVID "Pandemic after the pandemic"

Also known as Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC) or Post-Covid Conditions, Long COVID affects as many as 1 in 8 Americans. Its heterogenous symptoms and current lack of reliable biomarkers makes Long COVID a unique challenge for the public health system, as a standard case definition remains undefined.

The Long COVID Interest Group is an ad-hoc group of public health professionals which meets monthly and is currently open to all stakeholders working at or with state and local health departments who want to learn about and share best practices for addressing this public health crisis. Each month will feature a guest speaker or panel discussion followed by Q&A. We are also starting a collaborative online message board for members to ask questions and share resources.

The next meeting is this Friday, 2/17 at 3pm ET, and will feature presentations from CSTE and CDC about frameworks currently being developed at the national level for surveillance and other public health activities.
