Applied Informatics Team Training 2019

Webinar 2 Pre-Work available

Hello everyone!  I'm posting this System Development Life Cycle pre-webinar work, with time estimates and requirements well in advance to allow flexibility on when and how you'd like to approach it.

Required

1.      Read “Using SDLC Methodology to Implement HIT” https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/7fbd/35017b7085209694cd56373e8eab62b84b2a.pdf . During the webinar we will build on the framework presented in this paper and apply it to a public health laboratory informatics system improvement.
     Time estimate 15 minutes

2.      After reading the article above please demonstrate your understanding of the pre-work by responding to the two questions about SDLC on Survey Monkey. This will allow review at the start of webinar 2 on any unclear concepts  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Y9XBZ7X
   Time estimate 5 minutes

Beneficial

1.      Read SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Tutorial: What is, Phases, Model  https://www.guru99.com/software-development-life-cycle-tutorial.html . Invite a representative from your organization’s IT group who is knowledgeable about the SDLC approach used in your organization to meet with your team. Initiate a conversation about which model of SDLC they would/will use for your informatics project.
      Time estimate 60 minutes.

Great job for the 14 responses so far on the Webinar 2 pre-work!  For everyone else...there's still time to complete it before the webinar tomorrow.  You will want to read the article prior to the webinar.
