CDC sponsored the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) to develop a generator that produced real NNDSS-like synthetic data for the 2015-2020 period. These data were completely synthesized based on the associations among data elements in the real NNDSS data and they contain core data elements in the NETSS and HL7 Gen v2 formats only. The goal was to make the synthetic data available to support internal and external partners if they want to test computer programs, IT solution, etc. Of course, these cannot be used for epidemiological analyses.
