AZ BioSense Community of Practice

The mission of the Arizona BioSense Workgroup is to work collaboratively as partners to build capacity and quality of BioSense syndromic surveillance in Arizona. Our vision is to improve population health and emergency response through the use of timely and effective syndromic surveillance. This space is a platform for our members to continue discussions and share cross-role topics and questions from providing the data to using syndromic data (clinician/IT/public health).

📢 CDC NSSP Updated Website is Live


The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, CDC.gov, is live! Our NSSP web pages — from landing page through success stories — have a new look and streamlined content.


New features include:

  • A clear path for those new to syndromic surveillance, as well as for those returning to seek technical resources.
  • Consolidated content. Many of our tools now have their own pages where you will find quick start guides, related training, FAQs, and key articles — all in one place.
  • An enhanced, easy-to-navigate Onboarding Resources page.
  • A new Helpful Articles section sharing expertise from the NSSP team. Much of this content was grouped together previously under Data Quality Corner or shared through our newsletter.
