AZ BioSense Community of Practice

The mission of the Arizona BioSense Workgroup is to work collaboratively as partners to build capacity and quality of BioSense syndromic surveillance in Arizona. Our vision is to improve population health and emergency response through the use of timely and effective syndromic surveillance. This space is a platform for our members to continue discussions and share cross-role topics and questions from providing the data to using syndromic data (clinician/IT/public health).

Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center (Gila County) In Production as of 5/10/2021

Hi, team

This is to inform everyone that we have a new reporting facility from Gila county added to the BioSense/ESSENCE.

Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center went live on 5/10 and we will be communicating more about this newly onboarded site at the go live call with all the stakeholders which is in scheduling now. 

With the only one of the two hospitals targeted for SS reporting going live this week, we have now achieved 100% coverage for ED/IP visits in the area barring any future hospital/freestanding ED openings.
