The mission of the Arizona BioSense Workgroup is to work collaboratively as partners to build capacity and quality of BioSense syndromic surveillance in Arizona. Our vision is to improve population health and emergency response through the use of timely and effective syndromic surveillance. This space is a platform for our members to continue discussions and share cross-role topics and questions from providing the data to using syndromic data (clinician/IT/public health).

📢 Data Delay for Dignity Health

Hi Everyone,

Dignity Health is experiencing a data delay and there are no visits in ESSENCE for the facility after November 15th, 2021. They are aware of the issue and are working on getting the data to the BioSense Platform as soon as possible.

Please reach out to our team at syndromicsurveillance@azdhs.gov if you have any questions or concerns.

Update: Dignity Health has resolved their extended data delay and there are now visits in ESSENCE up to December 03, 2021. However, please note that we are expecting their visit data to consistently have a 2-3 day delay moving forward. Meaning, if today is a Wednesday we can expect to have Dignity visits through Sunday or Monday's visit dates.

The target for Dignity Health to transition to a new, more reliable public health reporting solution is during Quarter 1 of 2022. We will continue to work with them to improve their reporting timeliness until that transition occurs.
