Data Delays in Mirth Processing and from Reporters Update 12-08-2020
Hi All,
We wanted to let you know that we have been observing some delays of data getting into ESSENCE due to issues with processing in MIRTH since last Thursday, 12/03/2020. We provided some of the background during today's AZ BioSense Workgroup meeting. We want to let you know that these delays could impact your analysis of the data and should you see anything in the data that needs further clarification to reach out to our team at syndromicsurveillance@azdhs.gov.
The NSSP team has just commented that the issue has been identified as a by-product of a broader resource constraint issue identified on the production server. It does look like the root source of the issue has been identified and NSSP has figured out how resolve the issue as well as restore normal processing. We will continue to work with NSSP on this and ensure the consistent frequency of data processing is restored to our normal expectations.
We are also aware that some facilities like the Community Health System (CHS) facilities in Mohave and Pima Counties also have had issues due to their corporate integration system and specifically for the Mohave facility related also their electronic health record system vendor. We are working with CHS to resolve these issues and fill the backed data since the problem started on 12/05/2020.
Again contact our Syndromic Surveillance Team with questions at syndromicsurveillance@azdhs.gov.
