AZ BioSense Community of Practice

The mission of the Arizona BioSense Workgroup is to work collaboratively as partners to build capacity and quality of BioSense syndromic surveillance in Arizona. Our vision is to improve population health and emergency response through the use of timely and effective syndromic surveillance. This space is a platform for our members to continue discussions and share cross-role topics and questions from providing the data to using syndromic data (clinician/IT/public health).

📢 ESSENCE Dataflow Backlog

BioSense Platform Production Processing Backlog:

On Monday, May 20, 2024, the BioSense Platform IT team detected a processing issue that occurred during the weekend. The problem has been resolved, and data processing has resumed. However, the production system is currently addressing a backlog of data, which could potentially impact the reported record and visit counts for your site over the past few days. We estimate the data backlog to catch up over the next few days. We will send out a notification once the data backlog has caught up.
Effect on Services:

  • Users logging into ESSENCE might see reported data missing until the data backlog catches up.
User-Required Actions:
  • None at this time.
We appreciate your patience and expect ESSENCE data processing to return to normal soon.
