NSSP Community of Practice API Training - Pilot Testers Needed!
Greetings!
We are seeking volunteers to pilot the early release of the NSSP CoP API training.
The Introduction to Application Programming Interfaces course intends to provide a clear, beginner-friendly introduction to Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for Epidemiologists. This course aims to prepare participants to be able to explain the purpose and functioning of APIs, recognize common API structures, and understand how APIs are used in public health and syndromic surveillance applications such as ESSENCE.
Target Audience
Beginner/intermediate syndromic surveillance epidemiologists/analysts working in state, territorial, local or tribal (STLT) health departments. Applied epidemiologists working in STLT health departments.
What does pilot testing entail?
Pilot testing will likely take place in early January. Additional details, including how to evaluate the training, will be sent to your email in advance of the pilot testing period. We will request a 14 day turn around to take and submit feedback. Reviewing layout and quality of content as well as audience accuracy are some examples of what we may request.
If you are interested in piloting this course, please fill out this form.
Please reach out to syndromic@cste.org if you have any questions.
Thank you,
