Unscheduled Dataflow Interruption
BioSense Platform Unscheduled Dataflow Interruption:
The BioSense Platform will undergo unscheduled maintenance to rebuild the ESSENCE data cubes for new Chief Complaint and Discharge Diagnosis (CCDD) categories, starting on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 6:30 pm et. Dataflow will be paused during maintenance. Access to ESSENCE will be available, but data will be static. We expect maintenance to be complete and dataflow to resume by 9:30 pm et.
Please continue to send your data as usual, but remember that data will not process through ESSENCE during this maintenance window.
This downtime will be used to cube the first batch of CDC-developed queries from the Rapid Reportables Project. This is the final step of the process. When maintenance is complete, the following new ESSENCE CCDD categories will be ready for use:
- Acute Hepatitis B v1
- Cholera v1
- Dengue v1
- Ebola v1
- Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS) v1
- Malaria v1
- Marburg v1
- Meningococcal Disease v1
- Poliomyelitis v1
- Zika v1
Effect on Services:
- Dataflow to production ESSENCE environment
- ESSENCE data processing
