AZ BioSense Community of Practice

The mission of the Arizona BioSense Workgroup is to work collaboratively as partners to build capacity and quality of BioSense syndromic surveillance in Arizona. Our vision is to improve population health and emergency response through the use of timely and effective syndromic surveillance. This space is a platform for our members to continue discussions and share cross-role topics and questions from providing the data to using syndromic data (clinician/IT/public health).

📢 Unscheduled Outage, Monthly Patching Closeout Delayed

BioSense Platform Outage and Maintenance:

During patching, one of the database servers failed to restart properly in the production environment. Our systems engineers are working to resolve this issue. ESSENCE is currently available but is not returning data.

As part of the ongoing maintenance to resolve the outage, the Access & Management Center (AMC), ESSENCE, and Dataflow will be unavailable over the weekend, starting Friday, December 22, 2023, at 8:00 pm et. We estimate having this issue resolved by Tuesday, December 26.

Once the database is back online, we will send the expected Monthly Patching closeout announcement. We apologize for any inconvenience this outage has caused.
