📢 Updates on COVID Monthly Reports in MEDSIS Resource Area
Hi, everyone
For those of you who have been granted access to your county's MEDSIS resource folder for the monthly SS report of CLI visits, here is a quick update on the reports posted in the area.
As of this afternoon, any newly updated monthly reports will be split into two smaller files with names ending with Part1 and Part2 (see attached screenshot of sample files created for Pima from last update). Part1 files will contain all visits reported from day 1 to day 15 of the month and Part2 will contain the visits for the rest of the month.
Due to a rapid increase of the number of CLI visits found in ESSENCE in recent time, packing a whole month worth of visit information into a single file format had created a lot challenges for the automated alerting/reporting process (especially for more populated counties) due to program memory limitation. By splitting the single monthly files into two, we should be able to see much less disruptions to the reporting process under current situation. If the numbers keep going up as the way it is, we may have to do more splitting in the future.
