Has this logo been used anywhere?  From the looks of it, it isn't consistent with the CIFOR colors, which may be of concern for the branding subgroup. Jeremy Linette Elizabeth Matt  

Thuy : I think this was a vectored EPS file that I sent to Linette a few days ago, so I assume it hasn't had a chance to be used anywhere. Jeremy and I couldn't track down the original design files, so I had to remake the logo from the GIF version that was uploaded to Basecamp back in May. In the absence of official color hex codes, I used Adobe Illustrator's eyedropper tool to sync the colors...but if someone has an official brand book with hex codes or Pantone colors, then I'm happy to go back and adjust.

Matt  Sorry, I should have known that!  I'll check with Amy Panzer to see if she has the codes because she is working on some CIFOR project at the moment.  Thanks, Matt!

Thuy No worries! I think Amy told Jeremy she wasn't the original designer of the logo, but she may still have some insight if she is/has worked on CIFOR projects.

So we actually re-created the PPT template using the codes in the AI file you had sent, Matt, so if we need to change the PPT template, we need to know now before anyone uses it. And we definitely need the official hex codes, RGB, etc for the logo to include in our Style Guide. 
One thing I've learned over the years with working with designers is to request the native files of everything they do. They are very reluctant to do that, and it may cost extra---but it saves you down the road in cases like this.

Linette : Thuy spoke with the designer -- the green is PMS 355 and the blue is PMS 300. For non-printing instances, the hex codes are #00a94f for green and #0079c1 for blue. The lighter shade of green in the attached EPS (sent to us by the designer) is #62bf82, with CMYK values of 62%, 0%, 66%, and 0% respectively.
