CSTE COVID-19 Response Resource Repository

This repository is intended for jurisdictions to easily share resources related to the COVID-19 outbreak response. Please refer to the CDC website for the most up-to-date official guidance for public health departments. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The audience for this Basecamp is CSTE members working at STLT health departments participating in COVID-19 response activities. Appropriate resources to upload include health department-created guidance documents, resources, or other useful tools that may be helpful to other jurisdictions during their response. Forums may be used to pose questions for discussion among STLT jurisdictions. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Prior to using this Basecamp, please ensure you review the **INSTRUCTIONS FOR BASECAMP USAGE** folder, which contains "Basecamp Repository Instructions and Rules" and "How to Change Basecamp Notification Settings." Contact Tracing Training & Resource Needs

CSTE has been participating in a national collaboration of nonprofits to identify and support needs for contact tracing.  Training for the contact tracers, disease investigation specialists, and epidemiologists is of particular interest.  Please respond to this forum post with any contact tracing training and resource needs for your jurisdiction.  CSTE will share your needs and provide updates with any available resources.

List of Requests (This list will be updated to include a summary of items suggested in the comments.)
  1. Cultural competency training on low SES challenges for isolation and quarantine to inform contact tracing and case investigation activities.
  2. CDC resources to assist new hires in determining how to apply CDC guidelines to case investigations.
  3. Suggestions on how to quickly retrain staff who completed their emergency preparedness training years ago or haven't had a chance to practice the training.
  4. Suggestion on how to recruit epidemiologists without a local talent pool.
  5. Suggestions on how to continue to manage other federally funded activities and deliverables when staff are repurposed to conduct COVID-19 activities.

Preparedness and Emergency Response Learning Centers Training Catalog
The PERLC Training Catalog features online training and other learning materials to help public health professionals and their partners prepare for and respond to emergencies. These materials were developed by university-based Preparedness and Emergency Response Learning Centers (PERLCs) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2010 to 2015. The catalog provides introductory level content for those new to public health and those who need a refresher includes online courses, as well as some exercises, toolkits and guides.

Join national behavioral health and resilience experts for 60 minute sessions of conversation, reflection, and nourishment to help you continue the vital work of responding to COVID-19 while better supporting your families, friends, co-workers, and communities. Sessions are scheduled through October 2020.
