CSTE COVID-19 Response Resource Repository

This repository is intended for jurisdictions to easily share resources related to the COVID-19 outbreak response. Please refer to the CDC website for the most up-to-date official guidance for public health departments. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The audience for this Basecamp is CSTE members working at STLT health departments participating in COVID-19 response activities. Appropriate resources to upload include health department-created guidance documents, resources, or other useful tools that may be helpful to other jurisdictions during their response. Forums may be used to pose questions for discussion among STLT jurisdictions. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Prior to using this Basecamp, please ensure you review the **INSTRUCTIONS FOR BASECAMP USAGE** folder, which contains "Basecamp Repository Instructions and Rules" and "How to Change Basecamp Notification Settings." Super spreader detection

What investigation questions (or methods) has your jurisdiction added to improve detection of group activities, shared exposures, and super spreader events?

We are wondering this as well. Currently, we are only asking the mass gathering/community event question from the CDC PUI form. We are considering adding questions about whether they have visited any bars, restaurants, gyms, or retailers (including grocery stores) in the days before their onset, the date they attended, and the name and address of the location they visited. We are also considering automating part of the investigation process so that the patient can directly fill in this information through an e-form, but we have yet to work out a lot of the details.

We have just published a Commentary that addresses this issue related to screening for social group events by case investigators and how to react to whether group event was a source event or spread event. We call it high risk of transmission (HRT) based on group contact . Jeff may have posted but not sure yet. It is in Public Health Reports online --about 10th article down on list Author RA Gunn

Hi All--we have just completed a generic operational protocol for investigating and intervening in COVID high risk of transmission (HRT) one time events--party, bar, weddings, etc. Many hours spent coming up with forms and scripts. We think we got them conceptually right, but real world experience needed to fine tune and adapt to department staffing, procedures, etc. Feedback welcome. Bob Gunn, MD Aug 21,2021
