2018-2019 CSTE DE Workgroups
CSTE's Disaster Epidemiology subcommittee plans to convene new workgroups in the 2018-2019 year.
To avoid member fatigue and ensure CSTE staff support, the workgroups will begin in waves - the workgroups' wave numbers have been listed below with their workgroup descriptions. Once the Shelter Surveillance and Disaster Epi Resource Document workgroups sunset, we will initiate the 2nd and 3rd wave workgroups.

Once the Shelter Surveillance and Disaster Epi Resource Document workgroups sunset, we will initiate the 2nd and 3rd wave workgroups.
- The Emergency management collaboration workgroup (WG) will develop EM template to demonstrate value of DE work to EMs and work on FEMA resource typing standardization for disaster epidemiologists (i.e., FEMA resource typing standardization project)
- The DE 101 education workgroup (WG) will develop educational materials for those new to DE, starting with a one-page handout and resource collation.
- The DE 3.0 next phase workgroup (WG) will work on the "next phase of DE", which may include focusing on adaptation or resilience-building recommendations and/or DE preparedness planning for outcomes we already expect.
