Have a great weekend.
Janet - if you're willing to share it - your doc would be a great starting place!

MDPH is using ESP and has written up some excellent and very clear case detection descriptions - most of this could be reused outside of ESP.

Great collection of case definition/detection descriptions, including a unique pregnancy detection algorithm that I think could be very useful to use in conjunction with the RCTC triggers for eCR. Pregnancy detection is something we've struggled with, though it's critical to know for investigation of so many notifiable conditions.
Questions I'm thinking about: How will EHRs present RR back to clinicians? Will they, or will those be logged and archived, never to be seen again? How about errors - something basic like patient data matching problems or missing lab results? Will those be presented back to the clinician, or will that sit in some queue waiting for IT to one day look at it?
1) HL7 PH work group, CDA examples group and very rarely structured docs
2) CSTE surveillance + practice + implementation calls and ELR/eCR calls
3) Rhapsody Public Health webinars (thank you Michelle Barber!)
4) Rhapsody user webinars (usually over my head but good to see what's possible and problems that other folks are working on in health IT)
5) DB public calls
6) others... ? (occasional HIMMS calls, CDC eCR calls, C-CDA scorecard calls, etc.... )
