Great collection of case definition/detection descriptions, including a unique pregnancy detection algorithm that I think could be very useful to use in conjunction with the RCTC triggers for eCR. Pregnancy detection is something we've struggled with, though it's critical to know for investigation of so many notifiable conditions.

Questions I always want to know about other sites:
Digital bridge site? Maven site? Rhapsody or Mirth? Has access to statewide HIE or not? Access to CDR or plans to access one? Do staff participate in HL7 working groups and if so, which ones? What eCR working groups or regular calls do staff participate in? What conferences do your 'eCR staff' usually/try to attend? Doing any FIHR work, or waiting for it to mature? If you're working on an eCR pilot, who is your clinical partner?
Concerns about staff having access to extraneous information (cancer diagnoses, mental health meds/dx, abortions) in long clinical documents? Plan to/are showing whole file, asking provider to redact, redacting on the way into the surveillance system, or something else?
How strict do you think your jurisdiction is on ELR standards-compliance, compared to others? (Strict to we'll-accept-everything and fix it ourselves)
Because of the need to avoid reinventing the wheel, I'd like to consider contracting some Rhapsody work (and speaking entirely for myself - I was impressed by Altarum's presentation about work they've done with MI, so I'm curious if other sites are using any part of those free resources or are/are planning to contract with them for setup/customization) - if you're working with contractors or considering it - who, what for, and how's it going?
Is your site doing any creative internships or university partnerships or ?? to bring in folks to help on any aspect of eCR?
Some of these questions are far outside the scope of the document discussed yesterday, but in case they resonate with others, I thought I'd throw this long list out there.

Awesome list for understanding our data exchange process. In addition, I'm curious about "data sources" as I imagine the scope is potentially beyond "providers". (i.e., clinical data repository, claims, payers, medical groups, independents, HC systems employee db, enterprise db warehouses, etc.)

I updated the google spreadsheet with a longer list - please feel free to update and add/delete questions as you see fit!
MDPH is using ESP and has written up some excellent and very clear case detection descriptions - most of this could be reused outside of ESP.
