CSTE announced on February 26, 2021 that the conference will only be held virtually (email attached).

The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) extends a special invitation to you to attend the 2021 CSTE Annual Conference June 13 - June 17, 2021 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a recipient of funding support through the CSTE/CDC Cooperative agreement, support for travel arrangements and reimbursement will be provided for the following:

In order to take advantage of the conference support, please complete registration process:

The CSTE Annual Conference is a valuable meeting for epidemiologists, as the multidisciplinary nature of public health warrants the collaboration of epidemiologists across fields. This annual scientific conference is the major forum for discussing opportunities, challenges, and advances in practicing epidemiology in state and local jurisdictions, thereby facilitating state- and local-based epidemiology and public health surveillance.
Your attendance and participation is vital to the conference as an opportunity to share expertise and network with epidemiologists from around the country. Every year CSTE hosts over 1,500 state and local epidemiologists at its conference to consider pressing public health issues facing our nation. Conference activities will include important workshops, breakout sessions, plenaries and other scheduled events related to a diverse agenda of public health and epidemiology topics.

The CSTE 2021 Annual Conference is going virtual! Due to the ongoing ramifications of the COVID-19 global pandemic, state and local restrictions on the size of group gatherings, jurisdictional restrictions banning travel, and the demands for our members to remain focused upon front-line response in their jurisdictions, the CSTE Executive Board has unanimously voted to transition the 2021 Annual Conference, June 13-17, 2021, to our first ever virtual-only event for the conference.

Registration will close at 11:59 pm EDT on Monday, May 24, 2021.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way large events can be hosted around the world. While we all desire an in-person conference with face-to-face engagement, with over 700 abstracts submitted the 2021 Virtual Annual Conference will showcase excellent program content, networking with peers and leaders, and provide timely best practices to “Building Bridges to Health” in public health epidemiology. The conference will host a combination of sessions, including live discussions, on-demand sessions, awards, Q&A sessions, workshops, plenaries, and networking. The Business Meeting of the Council will also be held virtually along with all related position statement sessions. We are evaluating the conference schedule and will provide updates, more details, and a revised schedule once program decisions are finalized.
We are very proud of the ongoing resilience and commitment of CSTE members, who have served as front-line public health workers for over a year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our members have been and continue to be vital in the COVID-19 response. Your work and dedication impacts the lives of so many and may at times go unnoticed when more should be done to acknowledge and recognize your sacrifices and challenges. We are grateful not only for your work in the COVID-19 response, but also in your daily epidemiology and surveillance work across many programs, serving your jurisdictions, and sharing your expertise with the CSTE membership. We are grateful for your commitment to the health of the public and honored to serve as your professional home for applied epidemiology.
Already registered for in-person attendance? For conference attendees that have already registered for in-person attendance, you will receive separate information for transferring your registration to virtual attendance. Sponsored travelers will also receive a separate communication regarding your attendance.
