CSTE 2022 Annual Conference

Will there be a separate email for booking the hotel? The first email I received from Shundra Clinton said instructions would be following after conference registration. Thanks!

Jamie  all LEAD participants have rooms in our room block. After you complete your registration, you will be prompted to reserve your room by indicating your arrival and departure dates. I believe you must register before you can make those hotel reservations. You should not be required to pay for your registration or hotel.

Ok great. So if it prompts us for credit card info during the hotel reservation process, I'm assuming that's just to hold the room and the card isn't charged? Will the card be switched over to another at the time of check-in? (That's how we do it at our HD)

After I registered, I got a link in my registration to make room reservations. When I followed that link, I was able to make a reservation without having to provide payment information. 

Hi Jamie, After I registered I got an email with a specific link to book the hotel. I did not need to present a card when I made my reservation. 

Jamie  I believe you will need to present a card at check in for incidentals, but the room cost should be billed directly to CSTE.

Just wanted to flag in case anyone else was trying to book flights - the airfare website has the following message:

Travelers SHOULD NOT make any reservations for the 2022 CSTE Annual Conference until further notice. For questions, please contact Mone Sharpe at travel@cste.org or 770.458.3811.

I emailed and Mone wrote back that CSTE will announce when airline reservations are open and that flight bookings would begin mid-March.

Just a reminder to complete your CSTE Conference registration by tomorrow's early bird deadline. You can always switch from in person to virtual at a later date if needed. Also be sure to reserve your hotel room after you complete your registration so you have a room if you are able to attend. CSTE will be releasing unbooked rooms to the public in early May.  Let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you are ready to go to the conference this weekend. Cohort 2 is inviting you to meet up with them. Their current plan is to meet Tuesday during the Social Hour at the Omni Hotel 6:30-8pm. If I hear more details, I will post them here.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I just tested positive for COVID today and started with mild symptoms Thursday(?). I was at the Tuesday night reception with some of you and wanted to let you know. There was also someone in Cohort 2 who was positive on Thursday who I had close contact with at that same Tuesday reception. I know I could've gotten it anywhere along the way but wanted to ensure you knew to monitor, etc. Stay negative everyone!!

I got a notification on my phone that I had exposure June 19-20 (Sunday and Monday). No symptoms for me so far, fingers crossed.
