School-Based Tick-Borne Disease Education
Hello, does anyone have school-based tick-borne disease education resources (all grade levels) they are willing to share with the New Jersey Department of Health? We are assessing what is currently being taught in our schools on Lyme and other tickborne diseases. This information will be used to develop updated recommendations for prevention messaging and resources for schools to use when developing or updating their tickborne disease curricula. NH has some for grades K-5. Unfortunately schools aren’t required to teach this in NH. If they choose to, we created these kits for them. You can find them here under “Tickborne Disease Educational Curriculum Kits”:

We worked with our Center for School Health and NYS Education Department on a tick and tick-borne disease educational curriculum that is designed for children in grades Pre-K through 12.
