🎂 Collaboration Survey draft- Please review.
LOL, I tried to send this in email but it was too big so BaseCamp it is. I will apologize in advance before making your phones all blow up from notifications....but its good to know for our purposes size does matter.

I believe for true collaboration we will need access to many types of tools. That is why I added a question about types tools before requesting feedback on the different applications out there. After your input, we can put it in a survey tool such as Survey Monkey. I filled in what my experience is as an example.

Linn County Public Health epidemiologist Dr. Amy Hockett presented on Performance Management at NACHO this year and said that she has been looking at the Universal Community Planning Tool (UCPT) presented by Garrett County Maryland at that conference. From her brief overview, I see that it houses many components that are beneficial to Syndrome Surveillance collaboration.
I personally have been looking at this tool on Github since attending the LCIT Virtual conference that was also presented at NACHO this year. I will add it to the list. I attached the installation guide so that we can all take a look. There are links to other health departments inside the document if you want to see what others have done. If anyone has any experience on UCPT please let me know.

This is what I have been doing to look at the products on our list
· Basecamp- (created a BaseCamp project for our group but have not invited anyone. No way to invite multiple people so will need to set aside time. Easy to set up. Very stringent, little room for modification, notifications are busy )
· Slack- (Created group on slack have not invited anyone, and no real dashboard look and feel or home page. Great tool to add to a site though for ongoing communication. Already got a request from Michigan.
· WhatsApp- (Have not played yet)
· SharePoint365- (I do not have a license for this but am a On-premise administrator here at public health. There is a learning curve and it is expensive. If CDC had a license we could test drive this as well. If not we should remove it)
· List Serv- (Have not set up a test)
· Skype- (Have not set up a test)
· Jira- (Have not set up a test not sure if it requires a license.)

· LinkedIn-(Created a group on linked in wonder if we will be limited by free vs premium. Have not invited anyone yet. )
