Convert flat file with Rhapsody

Hi everyone!

Colorado has a need to convert a flat, non hl7 message into hl7 in rhapsody for ELR processing.  One of our sources sends a flat file that is a new message on each line, and each value is pipe | delimited.  If any other states have done this type of flat file/non xml/non hl7 message transport and conversion within rhapsody, we're hoping for an information share, particularly on message definition for non hl7 messages and translation.

Hi Andrew,

In Louisiana we faced a very similar need. We have multiple facilities sending comma delimited flat files with one message per line. We currently map those to HL7 2.5.1 using Rhapsody. Feel free to contact me at Brick.Green@la.gov to discuss the process!
