COVID-19 Testing through PWNHealth

Minnesota received an email from PWNHealth that they are doing testing for COVID-19 and needing a way to report results to the health department. Appears it might be connected with Everlywell (https://time.com/5805953/home-covid-19-test-everlywell/) being able to do testing. Wondering if anyone has seen the daily excel spreadsheet that they plan to send via secure email and any tips/problems with the file?

We have heard from them and have given them access to a secure site for the file but we haven't seen any files yet.

I just had a conversation with (see below) and it sounds like they have ELR capability, so we are considering moving forward along those lines for COVID-19 reporting only - to expedite validation - and receiving the daily spreadsheet in the meantime. I have not seen the spreadsheet.

That's encouraging to hear, John. Thanks for sharing. It would be nice to get an HL7 message.

PWNhealth is regional providers to the upper midwest or elsewhere? So we need to keep an eye out for this home test -- any idea how results will get to public health?
Ann Kayser
Hey Nancy - If these are all coming from Everlywell, then testing is offered in 47 states (excluding New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island due to different medical regulations). If PWNHealth runs tests for other partners, then it's unclear at this point.
The communication had indicated a secure email (health department chooses which email this gets sent to) with spreadsheet with positive results and patient information, but from what John Satre provided, sounds like there is some ELR capability.

We received a secure email today with a test file (columns below). Has anyone had luck with adding additional data to the extract (i.e., collect date, patient phone, etc.)?

That is exactly what we received here in Illinois. That was in a CSV and we have been asking for an HL7 but so far have not received and answer on that.

Hi all, my contact has been Natasha Barncastle and I still haven't gotten a csv file from her. Also she mentioned a Gravity Labs -- but I haven't gotten feedback. They seem to be missing the point about a csv. Who else do I contact if I can't get them to send a csv?
Nancy Barrett, Epi 4/PH Informatics Specialist
wait, I may be getting some traction...
Corinne Davis, ELR Specialist at TN
They are sending a case report csv file to TN. They are not reporting results from the at home kits, they are actually reporting results from Quest/LabCorp/Walgreens for TN (which hopefully we already received from the labs). They are fulfilling the providers reporting requirement. They do not have specimen collection date, which is a problem and can't change the report data elements. I have Gravity's contact information if you need it. They are sending TN an automated csv report daily.
