Dealing with State Specific COVID-19 requirements

We have the national flatfile - and then we have STATE specific ADDITIONS - how do we update the file, will all stats take new elements etc?
examples are:
NY requiring employer information / school attendance
UT requiring list of co-morbiditities
I am sure there are others.
Labs that have to report to MANY state cannot use the national flatfile, IF states have the specific additional requriements and other states will not take them.
PLEASE ADVISE!

Facilities are not required to report comorbidities to the Utah Department of Health. For facilities that use the Utah-specific COVID-19 Reporting Portal, we have added enhancements for comorbidities to be reported if they are available. We have no plans at this time to ask facilities using standardized electronic reporting methods to make adjustments to their feeds.

Rachelle,
Does this mean that you are NOT going to ask your skilled nursing facilities to change their feeds to report through the NSHN application? I thought it was required that all skilled nursing facilities switch to reporting via NHSN.

Thank you for this clarification!

As long as the data coming from NHSN has the demographic and testing information we need, and comes in within timeframes specified in Utah law, we'll support our nursing facilities transitioning to reporting to NHSN.
