Maven processing time

We've recently started seeing a slowdown in Maven processing time -  tending to see an hour or two backlog between when a batch is imported into Maven and when the report actually appears in an event. Is anyone else seeing this? We're consuming around 100,000 reports a day. Looking for strategies to ease the flow as we anticipate an increase in testing.
