I'm wondering if anyone is currently using FHIR as a transport option and what the experience has been. If no jurisdictions have made this transition yet, is anyone planning to? In Minnesota, we are having some early discussions about FHIR and I'm hoping to get some feedback from those with first hand experience.
This snip is from the HL7 public health workgroup call this past week and includes contact info for a person doing a ballot for that proposal. He may have info on states or jurisdictions that are planning to test out the idea:
Goal of the project is to develop a definitive v2 to FHIR mapping. PSS is here.
Hans Buitendijk is the project facilitator.
Mapping is in one direction only: v2 to FHIR.

Hi all, Here's some ideas for tomorrow's agenda. There should be a reminder going out this morning as well. Let me know what you think.
If anyone can speak to any of these let me know. Or we'll just have an open discussion for each. If Meredith has further refinements, I'll let her post.
1. CSTE Announcements as per usual (abstracts for the conference are open!) 2. ELR-NEDSS assessment update 3. Direct data entry from "small" labs instead of ELR -- have state's built a portal, allowed direct data entry, other experiences? 4. State's experiencing with harmonization of data fields in surveillance systems as build for producing MMGs (I know it is not directly ELR, but assuming some of the same folks work on both, and capture of lab information is important). Do we want a future update from CDC? 5. ELR issues with reference lab reporting -- some very relevant and important issues were brought up on the last call. What are some strategies for us to get these items addressed? 6. Formation of a working group for ELR ToolKit (again this may be a Meredith item). 7. Sarah from MN's question on FHIR
