👋 Passing of Anne Hakenewerth

Workgroup members,
Last week, we lost a great member of our community: Anne Hakenewerth from NC. Anne was an active participant in many of CSTE's surveillance and informatics efforts. She was always willing to share her experiences and advice and to help mentor other CSTE members. We will miss her voice on calls and her presence at our meetings.  Please find her obituary here and additional details shared by Zack Moore, NC State Epi, below:

If you would like to donate flowers for the visitation and funeral, Anne's favorite flowers are gerbera daisies. She says they are the most cheerful flowers. Please contact Renaissance Funeral Home (www.rfhr.com) at (866) 242-2747 to make arrangements.

For those of you who are interested in making a donation in Anne's name, the family has suggested a couple of her favorite charities.
