Quest Chantilly results

Hi,
we are still getting Chantilly results faxed to us in huge lists. Has anyone pushed through just COVID19 ELR with Chantilly without having to validate everything? If so, are the files complete for patient demograhics (when available), LOINC, SNOMED, and specimen source SNOMED?

thanks!
Nancy

We are getting ELR but huge volume of no patient address and some coding issues. We had to do a bit of work on our end in Rhapsody to deal with their coding issues.

We are getting a large number of results from them. We are working with the clients that do not send them addresses (paper requisitions). Some coding issues, but we have been able to manage them.

Hi Dave -- for those paper requisitions, is it that the addresses aren't sent to Quest, or that Quest isn't entering them? We've seen this problem with all of our Quest results from the community/drive through collection sites.

Nancy,

You mentioned pushing through just COVID-19 ELR from Quest CHA. Was that an option for states? The last I heard from Tom, they were allowing states to onboard either SJC or CHA feeds rather than both simultaneously but I wasn't aware they were allowing states to onboard just for the select condition. If this is true, we may be interested in pursuing that option.

Thanks,

Hi Randi -- I think I answered this in email, but we just went into the existing feeds being sent as part of the validation project (which we were on hold for, but still getting ELR), and searched for CoV results. We found they had a LOINC and a SNOMED (miracle!), so we just processed them out. Better than hand entering against tiny print line lists! So just the COVID19 results -- we haven't moved to validating other diseases yet.

For the formal project, you can put yourself into production or parallel production. I chose the latter, because it will take us some time (months) to get to a point where we can fully validate all reportables from these messages.

Have a great weekend!

We are working on a similar process here. In the messages we are receiving in our staging environment, they are sending SNOMED codes for covid results but sending mostly string results in the OBX segments containing specimen and symptom information. We can accept these results in production but not preferred. Much better than the print list lists though! Thanks for sharing your work Nancy.

Hi Randi -- we are seeing the unspecified specimen SNOMED (I substitute the NP SNOMED).
