CDC data are NOT accurate on school inspections. CDC surveys state school health coordinators who are not likely to know about regs on lead in water, lead in paint, or facility inspections (other than food service). EX-- CDC reported 26 state require test at tap for lead...... EPA requires test at tap in school but ONLY IF school is its own supplier. Only a few state recently decided to required tests at the tap-- NYS, NJ, OR; CA and MA are voluntary, I believe. I do not have a solid count. Rapidly changing field.
