The audience for this Basecamp is CSTE members working at STLT health departments participating in monkeypox response activities. Appropriate resources to upload include health department-created guidance documents, resources, or other useful tools that may be helpful to other jurisdictions during their response. Forums may be used to pose questions for discussion among STLT jurisdictions. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Prior to using this Basecamp, please ensure you review the **INSTRUCTIONS FOR BASECAMP USAGE** folder, which contains "Basecamp Repository Instructions and Rules" and "How to Change Basecamp Notification Settings." Before posting in the Forums, please review the first posting “How to Use Forums” for rules and instructions. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT: This Basecamp is not housed behind the CSTE firewall and users are not monitored by the CSTE National Office, therefore CSTE does not recommend uploading any sensitive resources. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Note: This Basecamp is not monitored by CSTE National Office staff on a daily basis. We're receiving feedback from community groups concerned about what they interpret as an increase in cases among Black and Hispanic individuals Monkeypox Cases by Age and Gender, Race/Ethnicity, and Symptoms | Monkeypox | Poxvirus | CDC. Locally, we separate race and ethnicity (e.g. White, Hispanic; White, NH; Black, Hispanic; Black, NH, etc). Are other jurisdictions displaying Hispanic/Latino as a distinct race?

NJ displays it as a distinct race – similar to how we displayed COVID data.
Thank you! So you guys don't go further into W/H, B/H, etc, rather just all Hispanic? I know it's tough with so much missing data...we are always looking to learn better practices when sharing this data with our community members
We don’t – we find a lot of missing race if Hispanic ethnicity is listed, so regardless of whether people have any race or no race listed, if they have answered the Hispanic/latino question as “yes” we group them in their own category.
