This is the final APHL Influenza News blast that will go out to PHLs today. It highlights the recent flooding incident at Wadsworth and provides instructions to PHLs for NIRC specimen submission.

Just to clarify for all. We have Jennifer Lemmings, Monica and I think Dhara from CSTE on our flu news distribution list so this is routinely shared with them because of our routine overlap on seasonal virologic surveillance. However, we can take an action item to add a selected representative from each of the 4 core associations in the event of a response. If you have similar distributions lists that might be a way to ensure passive communications that might prompt questions and topics for coordination in a real event. Just a thought and the right people would be event dependent so just something to tuck away.
