CSTE, in partnership with CDC, developed the following topic-specific Special Emphasis Reports for use with ICD-10-CM coded hospitalization and emergency department data. Injury Special Emphasis Reports are used by state health department injury and violence prevention programs and their partners to move injury data into action. They are intended to focus on subsets of a state’s injury data in order to highlight the prevention needs related to specific causes or populations. Originally published by CDC, these reports allow for uniform publication of state data and are designed to extend the reach and ease of publishing state injury indicator data.
Please see below for the available Special Emphasis Report tools by topic area. These tools are updated as of December 1, 2022 to adhere to federal 508 compliance regulations.
