Jessica, to be 100% clear on this one.  The excel file you provided has 18 implicitly reportable categories.   Am I removing the entry of "Implicitly reportable" and adding these 18?

Will those 18 need to show up in the list like this?
Implicitely Reportable:  Emerging or Exotic disease
Implicitely Reportable:  Event, bioterrorist
or
IR:  Emerging or Exotic disease
IR:  Event, bioterrorist

Some of these are really long.

You are correct in that we want to add the 18 categories.  Initially, I was thinking the first option (e.g. Implicitly Reportable: Emerging or Exotic Disease).  However, I think this would be a good question for past respondents.  Let's hold off until we solicit feedback to ensure it's absolutely necessary.  I will verify with Meredith if that's the case.

Did we ever find out the plan on this?  For the display of the category, did we want Implicitely Reportable:  Emerging or Exotic disease

or
IR:  Emerging or Exotic disease
IR:  Event, bioterrorist

Either is fine, but the top options will certainly WRAP in the drop down list and won't look terribly pretty, but they will function all the same.

Hi Kevin - we are going to go with the first option that wraps, since many might not review the instructions to know what "IR" stands for.  If it becomes a problem, I am going to assume it will be addressed in the pilot.

That is correct.

Jessica, have a look at the SRCA now.  All the IR conditions have been added for every state and every reporter type.  The drop down looked terrible with all the wrapping and it scrolled for ever, so  I blew up the width on the drop down so its pretty wide now.  I don't love how it looks but atleast the wrapping isn't so bad.  Let me know what you think.

Hi Kevin - I see what you mean about width, but from what it sounds like, this is a better alternative to the excessive wrapping.  I think it looks okay, since it does not detract from which reporter they are addressing.

Something to note - I was playing around with Alabama looking for an implicitly reportable condition, and I found 'Hazardous Substances Emergency Event'.  However, since the drop down no longer had 'Implicitly Reportable' as an option, I couldn't leave it as I found it?  Will they be able to see that change?

Does the option for just general "Implicitly Reportable" need to remain?  I can put it back.  Thought it was going away?  

Do we want them all to go through and change their selections for Implicitly Reportable to one of the more specific options?

Hi Kevin,

There is no need to put Implicitly Reportable back.  I was wondering if their SRCA was locked and if my changes would be noticed.  I logged in as Alabama, and the cell I had altered was blank - so it was unlocked.  However, the top of the page contained the message "This SRCA has been submitted as FINAL. No changes are permitted."

I checked Florida's page, and there was no message, but it did have the Submit button at the bottom (as expected because theoretically their cells should be complete).  Massachusetts on the other hand (which I had not altered) had the final message without a submit button.  Regardless, we need to make sure the final message is gone from all states and that their tools are unlocked.

In response to your second question - we want responders to change all the 'Implicity Reportable' conditions to 'Implicitly Reportable - category'.  Would it be possible to highlight/tag the 'Implicitly Reportable' conditions?  If not, we considered making them all blank if that is an option as well.

Jessica, the submit button will ALWAYS be there regardless of empty cells or not.  However, when they click the submit button, it will stop them if there are empties.  It won't let them submit.  

The submit button only is missing if the state has fully submitted.  

I have removed all submission status' from all states and territories and all submission status entries are cleared out now too.  So, it's a nice clean slate. 

We can chat about it at 3.

Language for Implicitly Reportable Conditions to be displayed on the front end:

'Please note: The 2016 SRCA allows for a higher level of specificity for Implicitly Reportable conditions.  All conditions from 2015 listed as Implicitly Reportable have been cleared and require the selection of the appropriate Implicitly Reportable category.' 

All of the Pilot states have now had their "Implicitly Reportable" conditions set to blank.  Man, there were a BUNCH!
