AZ BioSense Community of Practice

The mission of the Arizona BioSense Workgroup is to work collaboratively as partners to build capacity and quality of BioSense syndromic surveillance in Arizona. Our vision is to improve population health and emergency response through the use of timely and effective syndromic surveillance. This space is a platform for our members to continue discussions and share cross-role topics and questions from providing the data to using syndromic data (clinician/IT/public health).

Pima County uses SyS to provide high level updates to HD staff, administrators, and medical officers 2x/week. Specifically, query of "weekly % of CLI and PNA ED and IP visits" is refreshed daily and reported to department heads, SMEs, and management team.

Ok great thanks Krystal. Let me know if you want to see a copy of the report to use as supporting documentation.

I am always open to seeing a report and thinking of what lessons can be learned and possibly shared with our group members.
