Hi all, yesterday we had some discussion about the terms "Member", "member organization", "member representative", "CIFOR member" and "Council member". I highlighted some of those terms

in the first part of the Bylaws attached.  Maybe we need a definitions section in the first paragraph for those terms similar to the existing sentence we have about the definition of the word organization: "For the purpose of this document “organization” will be understood to include associations and federal agencies or departments."

Just some thoughts to help clarify usage of some similar sounding words.  thanks everyone, Don (hope this works in Basecamp)

I like this idea.  Not sure if it makes sense to stop and do the definitions now, or get a new set of workable By-Laws approved first and add the Definitions section this fall/winter.
