CSTE Climate, Health, & Equity Subcommittee

Background: CSTE brought together a group of epidemiologists to establish the State Environmental Health Indicators Collaborative (SEHIC) in 2004 with the purpose of creating environmental public health indicators for surveillance. Statement of Purpose: Building the climate, health and equity skills and network for members and partners involved in state and local climate and health work while providing a way for climate epidemiologists to collectively raise new issues of importance in the field of public health. Vision : An engaged community for epidemiologists to voice concerns, and to share resources, skills, lessons learned and best practices in the field of climate, health and equity. Mission: To develop, support and build climate, health and equity practices at the state and local level.

Join the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) Climate, Health, and Equity Subcommittee, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Climate and Health Program for the 2021 Climate, Health & Equity Summit on May 3 – 4, 2021 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM ET
 
This summit aims to empower epidemiologists at state, tribal, local, and territorial health departments to identify their role and utilize their skills in strategically addressing climate, health, and equity.
