Background: CSTE brought together a group of epidemiologists to establish the State Environmental Health Indicators Collaborative (SEHIC) in 2004 with the purpose of creating environmental public health indicators for surveillance.
Statement of Purpose: Building the climate, health and equity skills and network for members and partners involved in state and local climate and health work while providing a way for climate epidemiologists to collectively raise new issues of importance in the field of public health.
Vision : An engaged community for epidemiologists to voice concerns, and to share resources, skills, lessons learned and best practices in the field of climate, health and equity.
Mission: To develop, support and build climate, health and equity practices at the state and local level.
