Announcement: CSTE Climate, Health, and Equity Subcommittee Calls and Activities
Hello,
We are excited to announce new changes to the CSTE Climate community that will start in January 2020. In order to provide an engaged community for epidemiologists to voice concerns and share resources, skills, lessons learned and best practices in the field of climate, health, and equity, the CSTE Climate subcommittee will be restructured.
CSTE has worked with the group leaders to make a plan that will strengthen the community and help build skills and networking opportunities for our members. In order to achieve this goal:
- We will be sunsetting the Climate & Respiratory Health Workgroup, Aeroallergen Subgroup, Wildfire Subgroup, and Urban Air & Heat Subgroup by December 31st, 2019.
- The CSTE Climate, Health, and Equity Subcommittee will transition from bi-monthly calls to monthly in order to provide a venue for sharing of novel research and best practices for climate epidemiologists.
- Time for discussion and updates on Urban Air & Heat, Wildfire and Aeroallergen topics will be included on these Subcommittee calls.

- The calendar series for the monthly CSTE Climate, Health, and Equity calls is attached to this email. Please save this to your calendar. Calls are on the fourth Monday of every month at 2pm ET.
- In order to stay up to date on CSTE Climate, Health, and Equity activities, we encourage you to become a CSTE member if you are not one already! The distribution list for subcommittee emails is directly tied to the CSTE membership database. There are numerous benefits that are listed here.
