We have had further discussions with other jurisdictions and our Division Director about the major proposed revisions in the chronic hepatitis B case definition. This prompted us to compile a list of pros and cons for each of the two revision scenarios that have been discussed (i.e., 1. keeping probable cases separate from confirmed cases and printing probable cases  or 2. removing the probable criteria and counting all confirmed cases based on a single sAg+ or DNA+ lab). Would like to share with the group in advance to digest prior to our Thursday meeting.
