Request for Peer Reviewers

Hi Jessica! I have never conducted a formal peer-review, but would be interested in the opportunity! Do you know when this is happening and what the commitment is? Are there any specific qualifications or areas of study that they are looking for?

We published a manuscript in this journal years ago, so I'm interested in this opportunity. I was a reviewer for a public health journal and an award committee, but I had the same questions about the qualifications and commitments. It'd be good to know. Thank you! 

Thanks Jessica! I echo Amelia and Leann's comments. I am interested to learn more, but would like to better understand qualifications, commitments, and any specific area of study (I also haven't conducted formal peer-review). 

Amelia Leann Katrina  In my experience, you are invited to create a profile to indicate your expertise. When manuscripts related to your expertise come through they send you an invite to review which you can accept or decline based on your availability and relevance to your expertise. I did not receive specific training but would be happy to pull some resources and have a session with you all to share my experience.

I've been a reviewer for a bunch of journals over the years (AJPH, Milbank Q, JHCPU, Am J Prev Med, Health Aff, others) and would be happy to share experiences

I'd also be willing to create a profile. I have reviewed a few articles for AJPH over the years but it's been quite a while!

Recognizing this post was a while ago, but also happy to review any articles specific to chronic disease epi if JPHMP has the need. I went ahead and created an account on their editorial manager site, and it didn't take very long. Thanks for bringing this opportunity to our attention, Jessica .
