CSTE LEAD 2022

Updates + Tribal Epidemiology

Hi all,

Thank you for a great call on Tuesday! I wanted to provide some updates based on questions we heard during the discussion.

  1. Individual coaching ends in December so please be sure to take advantage of this opportunity over the next few months.
  2. Access to the Basecamp site will terminate in December. Please be sure to download any content you would like to keep from both Basecamp and Learn before then. You do have the capability to download entire folders from Basecamp.
  3. I have been in contact with the Tribal Epidemiology Subcommittee and two members, Sujata Joshi and Joshua Smith have graciously agreed to come give a presentation on their NativeDATA platform. Sujata and Joshua are from the Northwest Portland Indian Health Board. We are working to schedule that meeting for mid-October. I will send out a calendar invite once it's finalized and we will record for anyone who is unable to attend. I did mention that the group is interested in talking about data sovereignty and data sharing - please comment below with any other topics you'd like to hear about.
  4. The CSTE Tribal Epidemiology Subcommittee is also currently looking for new leadership. To apply, please email Colin Gerber (cgerber@cste.org) with a letter of intent describing why you would like to serve as a co-chair and what you would like to accomplish during your tenure. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for new ways to engage with CSTE.
  5. We still have spots open for presentations in November and December. Please be sure to sign up for a spot as soon as possible.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Sarah
