CSTE Steering Committee Leadership Interest Form Deadline

As a reminder, the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) seeks interested, active members to serve in key leadership positions within CSTE’s Program and Policy Committee of the Executive Board. The deadline to submit the Interest Form below is Friday, November 4, 2022.This is a great opportunity to lead member, programmatic, and policy development activities focused on specific areas of applied epidemiology and surveillance practice and contribute to CSTE’s vision of "using the power of epidemiology to improve the public’s health."   
 
The Program and Policy Committee is a standing committee of the CSTE Executive Board, created as a result of the June 2021 Council-approved bylaws changes, which no longer require Steering Committee Chairs be elected by the membership to the Executive Board. With this change, CSTE is implementing a new process for identifying member leaders interested in serving as Steering Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs. An overview of the Program and Policy Committee and these leadership opportunities was presented to membership on October 18, 2022, the recording of which may be viewed here and the slides can be viewed here.  
 
CSTE's Steering Committee Leadership Interest Form will close Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:59 pm EDT.

  • Steering Committee Vice Chair – Infectious Disease
  • Steering Committee Vice Chair – Injury, Substance Use and Mental Health
  • Steering Committee Vice Chair – Surveillance and Informatics

Active members with an interest in serving in one of these positions can find additional information on the Interest Form, including a description of position roles and responsibilities. Submitted interest forms from eligible candidates will be reviewed by the Program and Policy Committee. Eligible candidates must be Active CSTE members working at a state, territorial, local, or tribal health agency with up-to-date member dues.
