The next call for the newly formed CSTE Legionnaires’ Disease Surveillance Workgroup will be held on Thursday, August 16th at 2pm EDT. The agenda and WebEx information for this week’s call have been included below. In addition, the notes from the kick-off call have been made available on Basecamp (action items included below).

 

As a reminder, these calls will take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 2pm ET. A recurring calendar event (with call-in information) has been attached for future discussions. 

 

Action Items – July 2018 LD Call

• Review the 2005 and 2009 CSTE Position Statements regarding case definitions for LD (for August 2018 call)
• Add resources you would like to share to Basecamp

Agenda – August 2018 LD Call

1. Introduction of new co-chair
2. Reminder to use Basecamp
3. Discussion of potential guest speakers. 
4. Brian Raphael from CDC Legionella lab will be on Sept call to discuss lab testing as it relates to case definition proposals. 
5. Open forum discussion of the homework (reviewing the 2005 and 2009 position statements). What suggestions do members have for what to change, beyond what was discussed at the first call?
6. Discussion of timeline: draft position statement should be shared with Infectious Disease steering committee in Dec 
7. Call for volunteers to help write a revised position statement, drafts of which will be shared with the workgroup
