 re:  using incubation period of  2-14 days for cases of healthcare-associated LD. How would a new incubation period change public health recommendations> 
 
 Current CDC definition of definite cases of HA-LD (10 d continuous stay)  would be classified as "possible"  and may have implications for public health response.  Currently CDC  and  CDPH recommends that local health departments with  a single case of   definite HA-LD  be further investigated with an environmental assessment and sampling as indicated .   CDPH HAI Program  developed a quicksheet summarizing our recommendations (revision to include CMS requirements in progress).
