So I received a response from CDC/NSSP on the Occ Subsyndrome which I've included in this word document. It has an explanation of the terms for the Subsyndrome and steps we would need to take to make updates to it. On our next call, which is 2/22/23, we can discuss next steps about analyzing the data from the current occ syndrome definition for our states to see if we find it useful and if we think we should have it updated in ESSENCE as a custom definition via the CCDD Categories so all states are able to use it. This will probably also involve us coming up with a free text query. If you have any comments or suggestions please share!!!!
