I hope to get back to the question of the relationship between minimarts and opioid overdose. Since I did those analyses, several new minimarts have opened in our community; this might present an opportunity for me to look at changes in the spatial intensity of opioid overdoses in those locations, pre- and post-opening of the establishments.

Hello Geospatial-colleagues! I come from a background in public utilities but as a GIS Research Specialist I in Public Health I maintain the Riverside County, CA - Overdose Dashboard (arcgis.com), assist internal and external partners with GIS analysis, storymaps, dashboards and I am currently working to create a Community COVID-19 Impact Hub in Experience Builder. I work with a wide range of data including overdose, suicide, school suspensions, and more. I use ESRI ArcPro, ArcOnline, and Community Analyst (beginning to dabble more in C.A.). My spatial analysis revolves around rates by county boundaries (regions, zip code, supervisory district, census tract), happy to connect and bounce ideas off one another. -Andrea Perez
