💡 Looking to connect with Injury Epi folks
Hello, I just got added to the group.
I am a new Injury Epidemiologist with the State of Massachusetts, specifically focused on Injury-induced Pediatric Morbidity/Mortality, specifically supporting Child Fatality Review activities.
They are looking to bring more spatial analytical perspectives, and while I do have that training and can read in other states, would love to connect with other more experienced Epis with knowledge in this domain. My spatial experience comes from when I was an environmental scientist and have not gotten to do as much direct epi/spatial analysis integration.

Hi. I'm a family physician, statistician, and epidemiologist working as medical director of a county health department. I sit on our child fatality review team. I also sit on our Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee. I've done some spatial epidemiology regarding EMS responses to opioid overdose:

(I admit it has been very quiet--I got it up and running just as COVID-19 tsunami hit, and I think everyone has been overwhelmed. Talk about bad timing . . . .) At any rate, here is the info:
EMS-epi-L, an email discussion group for professionals using, or
interested in using, emergency medical services data for epidemiology
and public health, is up and running.
To subscribe to the List, simply send an email message, with no subject
line, to:
listserv@listserv.binghamton.edu (mailto:listserv@listserv.binghamton.edu)
containing just the following (and nothing else):
Subscribe ems-epi-l YourFirstName YourLastName
(replace YourFirstName and YourLastName with, of course, your name)
You will then receive an email containing a link to click to confirm
that you indeed want to subscribe. After I authorize your subscription,
you will receive a (hopefully) informative and helpful welcome email.
Then you can discuss EMS epidemiology with your colleagues on the List
by simply sending an email to:
